Our Family System
One of CASA’s primary goals is to be a “home away from home” for its members; the family system helps us to achieve this goal by placing all of its members into one of four “families” each led by 4 board members. These smaller groups allow members with similar interests to interact in a smaller setting–an opportunity not always available during general meetings or club-wide events. Family heads organize events once/twice a month and activities can range from dinners, shopping, and karaoke or just hanging out at someone’s apartment. Occasionally there will be competition between families at themed general meetings (e.g. a scavenger hunt).
We will place all members into families so if you did not get a chance to fill out a family survey at the first general meeting, the document is here. Please complete it and return it either online to Skylar Hardenbrook or give a hard copy to any board member at any CASA event. If you have any questions or concerns regarding the system, Skylar can also assist you.
